Belmont Democratic Caucus

Belmont Library, Assembly Room 336 Concord Ave, Belmont

On Saturday, February 15 from 1-5 pm at the Belmont Public Library's Assembly Room, Belmont Democrats will hold a Caucus to elect delegates to the State Convention, which will be held on May 30 at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell. As BDTC members, we need you to either run as a Markey delegate or come to vote for a Markey delegate. We also need you to bring three registered Democrats--family members, neighbors, and friends are welcome!  Please tell us if you're coming and who you will be bringing--we'll keep a list to make sure there aren't redundancies. We want the room filled with Markey supporters!

BDTC Action Subcommittee

Belmont activists-let's continue the conversation about acting on myriad campaigns and issues. NH: I spoke with Maggie Hassan’s acting campaign manager and while the organization is still getting set up, we are encouraged to help with the Manchester Mayoral race and a State Rep contest. VA: Sister District is supporting several key races in VA in an effort to keep the state blue. We have a Belmont dedicated phone bank! Let's enter this crucial fall period with an action plan--as always, this is no time to rest. Contact Linda Levin-Scherz for Zoom info

Phonebanks and Postcards

75 Woodbine Rd Belmont, MA 75 Woodbine Rd, Belmont, MA

Phone bank and postcard campaigns at the home of Linda Levin-Scherz We'll sit outside on the covered porch and call into NH-Maggie Hassan must keep her seat if we are to keep control of the Senate. We also have postcards for a political science experiment Sister District is conducting that educates pro-choice voters that their Republican legilsator has voted to change the PA constitution to exclude abortion rights and require the burial of fetuses. I have 200 addresses and if you'd like to write postcards in the comfort of your own home, let me know-I can arrange for you to receive the addresses and postcards. Sister District focuses on critical down-ballot races and carefully researches candidates before agreeing to help them. As we are witnessing in real time, states need to act against an extremist SCOTUS.
